This Law applies to all employees, with the exception of law enforcement personnel who perform military service in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on military service.

This Law applies to political civil servants to the extent that it does not contradict the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on civil service. This Law applies to civil protection bodies and their employees, as well as to service in civil protection bodies, with the exception of articles 3 (except for state fire service bodies), 45-1, 59, 60, 61 and 62, paragraphs 3 and 3-1 of Article 69, subparagraph 12-1) of paragraph 1 of Article 80 of this Law.

This Law regulates public relations related to admission to the law enforcement service of the Republic of Kazakhstan, its passage and termination, and also defines the legal status (status), financial support and social protection of law enforcement officers of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
